Mengambil tindakan responsif untuk terus bertumbuh, industri asuransi pun menerapkan berbagai strategi penyesuaian termasuk dengan digitalisasi dan berfokus pada proses pemasaran.
Memberikan apreasiasi yang besar pada industri asuransi atas kinerja dan inovasinya, Warta Ekonomi kembali menghadirkan ajang penghargaan yang ke-9 kalinya melalui Indonesia Best Insurance Awards 2022 dengan mengusung tema “Agile and Anti-Fragile Insurance Industry Through Post-Pandemic Era” yang dilaksanakan pada 27 Oktober 2022.
Sebagai dewan juri, Warta Ekonomi juga bekerja sama dengan APARI dan DAI.
Bukan tanpa alasan, penghargaan diberikan atas kinerja dan inovasi dari industri asuransi yang jalur perkembangannya tetap stabil dan semakin menuju ke arah positif meskipun terkena dampak dari pandemi Covid-19.
CEO Warta Ekonomi Group, Muhammad Ihsan dalam sambutannya menyampaikan, “kinerja industri IKNB (Industri Keuangan Non-Bank) selama 2021 bergerak positif tercermin dari peningkatan total aset sebesar 7,83% menjadi Rp2.837,78 triliun.”
Lebih lanjut, ia menjelaskan bahwa sektor yang mengalami peningkatan terbesar yaitu sektor asuransi yang diikuti oleh lembaga Jasa Keuangan Khusus dan Dana Pensiunan.
Begitu pun, aset IKNB terbesar terdapat pada industri perasuransian. Oleh karenanya dalam memberikan penghargaan ini, tim peneliti dari Warta Ekonomi melakukan dua pendekatan, berupa desk research untuk mengetahui kondisi kinerja keuangan, dan media monitoring untuk mengetahui core bisnis yang tengah menjadi fokus utama industri asuransi.
Adapun penilaian financial performance dilakukan dengan melakukan pengelompokkan berdasarkan total aset dengan mengambil beberapa indikator penilaian berlandaskan POJK No.71/POJK.05/2016 tentang Kesehatan Keuangan Perusahaan Asuransi dan Perusahaan Reasuransi.
Di mana landasan tersebut disusun dengan beberapa aspek penilaian, seperti pertumbuhan yang berupa pertumbuhan pendapatan premi, laba, dan aset, rasio likuiditas, rasio investasi terhadap pendapatan premi, rasio beban terhadap pendapatan premi, serta rasio laba/rugi terhadap rata-rata modal sendiri.
Sementara itu untuk penilaian Keterbukaan Informasi Tata Kelola Perusahaan atau Good Coorporate Government asuransi analisisnya dilakukan terhadap laporan tahunan atau laporan lainnya dari masing-masing perusahaan asuransi berdasarkan Prinsip Tata Kelola Perusahaan Perasuransian yang tertulis pada Pasal 4 POJK No.73/POJK.05/2016.

Ihsan menyampaikan, “saya ikut berdoa semoga industri asuransi secara keseluruhan bisa berkembang lebih cepat lagi. Indonesia berpenduduk sangat besar yang tentunya merupakan pasar yang sangat menjanjikan bagi industri ini.”
Memberikan penghargaan yang setinggi-setingginya, melalui acara penghargaan ini Warta Ekonomi berharap perusahaan asuransi di Indonesia dapat meningkatkan kinerja keuangan dan memberikan kontribusinya dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi Indonesia dan tentunya diharapkan perusahaan asuransi dapat terus bertumbuh di tengah kondisi pascapandemi saat ini dengan terus melakukan inovasi untuk Indonesia yang lebih maju.
